Application:
This one-time, approximately 2-hour instructional event is designed to introduce parents (and parents to be), grandparents, and caregivers who would like to communicate with the baby in their life before they can talk, to the Baby Signs® Program of infant communication. It is geared for adults looking to teach signs to babies aged 0 to 2 ½ years or toddlers who have communication delays. You will be taught everything you need to know to get started with the Baby Signs® Program in the comfort of your home.
Objectives:
The Baby Signs® Parent Workshop introduces participants to the history of the Baby Signs® movement and the research behind the program. Participants will be provided with the knowledge and strategies they need to begin teaching their children to use signs. Most importantly, the workshop participants will learn about the many benefits for families who incorporate signing into their daily lives.

The benefits for you and your baby;

When to begin signing with your baby;

Strategies to begin teaching your children to communicate with signs at home;

Looking out for signs of progress; and

What to expect as your baby transitions from signs to speech
Participants will receive the Baby Signs® Parent Kit which includes:

The Baby Signs® Parent Guide – a fun, travel-guide-themed introduction to the Baby Signs® Program. Includes an illustrated glossary of 100 signs, delightful songs and nursery rhymes for signing at home, and more.

Welcome to the Baby Signs® Program DVD – includes an introduction and Video Dictionary with real-life demonstrations of the 100 signs that are most useful to babies.

My Baby Signs® Sampler DVD – teaches babies two favorite signs: Drink and Bath and introduces parents to the My Baby Signs® DVD series.

Signs at a Glance Flipper – features 86 signs in a unique flip-card reference with magnetic backing for easy display on a refrigerator or other metal surface.

My Baby Signs® Bookmarks – highlight simple signs for use with favorite books for babies: Goodnight Moon, Brown Bear, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Five Little Monkeys, Corduroy’s Party and Babies.

Individual Attendance: RM250 per pax (includes 1 Baby Signs® Parent Kit). In the event that you purchased the Parent Kit prior to attending the Workshop, the workshop fee will be RM100 per pax.

Family Attendance: a surcharge of RM50 per pax will be charged for each immediate family member who attends the Parent Workshop together with the participant. The additional participant will NOT receive a Baby Signs® Parent Kit.

Group Attendance: Applies to a group of three (3) persons.

A participant who brings along one (1) friend to the Parent Workshop will be entitled to receive a 10% discount on the Workshop Fee.

A participant who brings along two (2) friends to the Parent Workshop will be entitled to receive a 20% discount on the Workshop Fee.

Some individuals/families prefer to have the Parent Workshop in the comfort of their own home. This arrangement offers a more personal setting for learning and practicing the signs. If you are interested in having a private workshop in your home for your family members/caregivers, the following rates apply: -
